350 455 swap alt bracketts

350 455 swap alt bracketts

Swapped the alt bracketts to the 455 and doesn't seem to line up like it did on the 350??? They looked exactly the same hole wise just line up off or crooked....bushings washer spacers iam in the weeds here thanks..

did you move the tube to the lower hole in the main bracket, that runs down by timing chain cover? Tim

Hi,

You don't mention the year Cutlass your swapping, but just a FYI 64 through 65-1/2 had a 330/sbo only bracket, edit-65 bbo used a 1 piece bracket, forgot about it, 66 up used one mention that allowed you to swap positions of the one leg.

Thanks Tim and jim the other hole on the bracket was full of hard grease didnt see it till today after it soaked overnite... so thanks muchly... iam sure I will mess up more things so brush up on your 455 notes lol...crankit
