Dash Paint Color

Dash Paint Color
My '65 Cutlass convertible is in the bodyshop getting an extreme home makeover. I was asked to look into the paint combination that is on the dash. The lower part of the dash (from just below the A/C side vents) appears to be body color (Lucerne Blue Body/Lt. Blue Interior), and the upper part of the dash is a purple-ish blue, resembling the original "midnight blue" purple-tone blue carpet. Is this a correct color application, or did someone add the midnight blue at some point before I acquired the car in 1985?

The metal dash was two tone, a gloss and a flat. If your interior was blue the lower part was gloss blue, Lucerne? and the upper was flat blue. The dividing line was the angle on the corner. The inside A pillars were flat also.
Mine is black, here is the line where the colors meet.

Thank you for confirming that the dash was two-tone. Wanted to make sure someone hadn't got creative in the first 20 years of the car's life. Good point to note that the upper tone is actually flat, and not just terribly faded.
It's good to find a source where other's have a '65to share information. I RARELY see one, and as you all know, there are very few new items available for the 65's, so we have to be resourceful!

I thought the site was just for 65 442 owners. Is it for all 65 owners?
