1963 S88 Antenna Assy.

I am looking for photos and/or a rear mount non power antenna assembly for my vehicle. I cannot find any photos of a rear mount, let alone find a complete assembly. If I were to see what it looks like, I may be able to use another "B" body antenna assy. and make it all work.

There are no photos because there was no factory rear mount antenna on these cars. The power antenna was rear-mounted, but the fixed antenna was not.

Sorry for the bad info. See below.

Due to interference with the evaporator, all factory airconditioned cars had the antenna on right rear fender, power or not.

Thanks Glenn. I did not know that. With that information, Google Images is your friend.

That is good info since I do have an a/c car, so it explains the antenna placement. The next question is, is there a rear mount antenna out there anywhere or can I use a wildcat ( B body) antenna with a Catalina aerial? The pic supplied is good but not enough zoom to check out bezel or angle of aerial

The AC antenna location is common to all 61-64 GM B body cars. Chevrolet and Pontiac rear antennas were mounted at about 45° angle. Olds and I think Buick used vertical antennas.

To get the antenna angle right, you'll need either an antenna with a universal base or one that has the correct base for the Olds quarter panel.
