Radio removal from a 1978 Delta 88
Has anyone removed a radio from a 1978 Delta 88? The radio works well but I only get sound from 2 of the speakers. I have extra working factory speakers that I've tried to connect but get nothing just like the ones in the car now. I'm guessing it's a wiring issue. I've never pulled the center dash to remove the radio so is there anything to watch for? Hidden bolts? Any suggestions?
I might as well pull the clock also and have it serviced while I'm in there, unless it turns out to be a wiring issue also. Checked the fuses already and they all look good.
Thanks

Simple job. Remove radio ***** and lighter, then look above the radio for screws. Remove those and then start prying the trim panel away from the dash. May be obstinate if it's never been off.
You can then access the radio mounting plate and remove it. There should be enough slack in the wiring to get it out. If it's never been out there's a screw under the dash tie bar, to the right side of the radio.

If the clock is toast, the one from my Custom Cruiser is for sale. Converted to quartz by Auto Instruments of Martinsville VA in 2018. $75 shipped from 27343.
The transmission and rear axle both went out within 2 weeks of each other (412k miles) in 2019 and I just cannot justify fixing my old friend any longer. So I'll salvage whatever smalls anyone can use before it goes to the scrapyard.
*edit* tried to upload vid of clock in operation but site won't take mp4 from my phone. Pic

Thanks for the info. I'm going to attempt this at some point this weekend. Never seems to be enough hours in the day to get everything done. I'll keep you in mind if the clock turns out to be dead. Thanks.
