Hi now my Olds has arrived from Arizona and I can I start to restore my 98 and make it streetlegal for Europe

on some places I have found some rust spots that need some small pieces of sheet metal welded in. - not a problem

but .....

anyone here that can tell me more about electrics in a '53 Olds 98 ?

I have to separate backside direction lights from brake lights, direction lights will get yellow lamp and find new home in reverse light because here it is not allowed to drive with red direction lights in combination with braking light .....
Actual there is one wire that brings both signals to the lamp, but I cant find the connection place where that wire gets that signals form direction light relais and brake pedal switch.

Anyone here that knows where I can find the spot where both signals are connected to one single wire ?

Now this is no more problem.

maybe you know where a wiring diagram could be to find ?

(I would love to have such a diagram just to look at if one of the textile isolated cables would have to get changed because of short circuit)


one second thing I have to ask :

on steering column there is the direction light switch to show next turn left or right.

left side works pretty nice, right side seems that stick does not really reach the position, works but I have to push a little harder to make it work. Is there a chance to adjust that to work smooth in both directions ?
