Cold Start and occasional warm start

Question Cold Start and occasional warm start
When I first start my 72 supreme, I have pump a lot of gas before it turns. Then once it does I have to give it gas for about 2 minutes. If not, it dies. Sometimes while in motion the engine will die.. What could this be?

I believe the choke is working correctly. I was having some issues with the choke before I sprayed it out. I noticed there is no fuel the glass fuel cable chamber.

Is the choke closing when the engine is cold and you step on the gas pedal.

Does fuel squirt out of the accelerator pump nozzles when you open the throttle?
