where is the tag with paint codes and such located?

Horizontal "shelf" in the hood opening at front edge of the wiper grille. Usually on the right side of the car. Some assembly plants put it on the opposite side.

When you find it, post codes and we'll tell you what you have.

Thanks! For the life of me I could not find it (was lookin on the cowl/firewall area by the master cylinder)

I read your description, opened the hood and easily found it!

Hi Wayne,

I took a look at your trim tag, these are items I was able to answer, perhaps others will jump in and add more.

10E = build date October, 4th week.

Paint code A-A = Ebony Black upper, Ebony Black lower (if your car was two toned, say white body with black painted roof, the letters would have been A-C or vice versa, not sure which indicates upper/lower)

I don't have trim codes handy to decipher what 365 is, but black would be my first guess given exterior color, or maybe grey.

So what color is exterior/interior now?

Thanks for the help decoding it. The body color is black and interior is red. What else does the tag tell me?

It will tell where car was built, I think yours is Landing plant. Options, which I don't have book to decode. I see in pix it has a/c and guidematic. Also production number. Given your car was built in Oct of 63, its an earlier production car. Nice looking too!
