1972 cutlass supreme
Im looking at a 1972 cutlass supreme to buy but the shifter is on the steering colom. Is there any way that i could somehow tranfer the shifter so it is on the floor like some?

Yes, it can be converted to a manual transmission too. It's just a matter of making a list of parts needed, then purchasing them as you can and finally installing them. Once again, not difficult to do if you feel comfortable turning wrenches. John

I would say Changing to a floor shift A/T is a whole lot easier than changing to a manual.
I beleive I have an extra floor shift steering column around here somewhere. [black] PM me if ya need one. You should also change out the speedo and get rid of the PRND etc

If your going to do all this work you might consider changing the trans over to an overdrive unit like a 200r4. It is almost a bolt in for a 350. Just remember if you have built up the engine make sure that you have the trans built to take it.
