Tranny pan finish

I have a 1977 CS with 403/350. Was the tranny pan bare metal or was it painted? I think the transmission was just bare aluminium. Was the tranny dip stick tube painted blue/ black/bare or? What was the tranny dip stick handle finish? Clear zinc or painted?

Thank you for the help
Looking to start the restoration process. I'll post pictures soon

Mike

They were as far as I can tell bare. If your pan is pit free I would have Sparky parkerize the pan for some protection.
